The BIG Drum Day

Get ready for a day full of rhythm, music, and fun! In this exciting day of drumming, children will have the chance to explore a wide variety of drums and percussion instruments, discovering all the amazing sounds they can make. The day is designed to be hands-on, energetic, and full of opportunities for children to express themselves, work together, and take the lead as they create music in small groups and as a team. Throughout the workshop, children will learn to feel the beat, play rhythms, and experiment with different sounds on a wide range of instruments. They will also take part in songs and rhythm games that help develop listening skills, coordination, and teamwork, while encouraging creativity and improvisation. The workshop is designed to build confidence, give children a real sense of achievement, and introduce them to musical traditions and rhythms from around the world that they may not have experienced before. By the end of the day, every child will leave feeling energised, proud, and inspired, having developed new musical skills, made music together as a group, and enjoyed a fun, inclusive, and imaginative day of percussion adventure. Children will need: - a packed lunch - a water bottle The day runs from 9am until 4pm at Bristol Grammar School and we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the start time.
